Expressing love does not require specific date or time it is boundless in terms of materialistic thing.  February 14th or in other words Valentine’s Day portrays the significance of love and its expression in all forms. It also coincides with the day St. Valentine was martyred and is celebrated with an observed holiday in countries like United States.   Valentine’s Day is marked by exchange of valentine gifts, flowers and valentine cards not only between lovers but between any two people who love each other. Red rose, the widely excepted symbol of love is the most liked and gifted amongst flowers.

In olden days love notes or valentines were reciprocated by lovers but from 19th century past large scale production of greeting cards commenced. Valentine’s Day is symbolized by heart shaped outlines and winged Cupid figures. Personalized cards and numerous gifts are main attractions and gift shops overflow with them as Valentine’s Day gets closer.

Celebration of Valentine’s Day begins long before the authentic day. From 7th February, Rose day each day has its own theme and significance. 8th being Propose day, 9th Chocolate Day, 10th Teddy Day, 11th Promise Day, 11th Kiss Day, 13th Hug Day and finally Valentine’s Day on 14th. It is the most eagerly awaited day by lovers and many people put forth their thoughts and feelings for the first time to their loved ones on this day. On the part of proposed, proposals are taken in optimistic spirit and at the same time frank rejections are avoided. Valentine gifts are essential to given to your sweetheart and hence it is important to choose the correct gift.

From the very beginning of mankind, man has been in love with fragrances. In earlier days both men and women wore various flowers and aromatic herbs to bestow pleasing odors to attract the opposite sex. Fragrances are considered to be one of the most vital part of toilette.
